Jawatan Kosong Suhakam - Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia

Jawatan Kosong Suhakam - Suruhanjaya Hak Asasi Manusia or The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia - SUHAKAM is the national human rights institution (NHRI) of Malaysia. It was established by the Malaysian Parliament under the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia Act 1999, Act 597,[1] and began its work in April 2000. Its mandate is to promote human rights education, advise on legislation and policy, and conduct investigations. For the period 2010-2013 the commission is headed by Tan Sri Hasmy Agam, a former diplomat.

Having been established after the fallout of the Anwar Ibrahim controversy, some lacked confidence in its independence fom the government of the then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Muhammad. However, when Tan Sri Dato' Musa Hitam was named as the first chairman of the (initially, 13-member) commission, these fears were eased, as he was believed to be critical of Mahathir in many ways. The commission's recommendations under Musa, however, were often not implemented by the government. When his two-year term ended, he did not seek reappointment.

Musa was replaced with Tan Sri Abu Talib Othman in April 2002. Abu Talib had served as Attorney General under Mahathir, and was also involved in the Anwar Ibrahim controversy. As reported in Malaysiakini, he was widely seen as close to Mahathir, but SUHAKAM under Abu Talib continued to put forth many human rights recommendations. Many of these recommendations have yet to be acted upon by the government.

SUHAKAM was accredited as a full "A status" member of the Asia Pacific Forum (APF), the regional network of NHRIs, and has since been reaccredited by the International Co-ordinating Committee of National Human Rights Institutions (ICC) to which the APF now defers on accreditation.

In 2008 SUHAKAM was asked by the accreditation subcommittee of the ICC to explain in writing within a year why it should not be downgraded from A status to B status, which would deprive it of certain access privileges within the United Nations system. The ICC sought to encourage the Government of Malaysia to amend the body's founding laws and make it more independent. However, when SUHAKAM was reviewed by the ICC in November 2009, it was decided to retain its A status pending a further review to be carried out in 2010, with particular attention to the process for selecting members of the commission.

Jawatan Kosong MPN - Majlis Perbandaran Nilai

Written By P R M on July 6, 2015 | Monday, July 06, 2015

jawatan Kosong MPN
Jawatan Kosong MPN - Majlis Perbandaran Nilai or Nilai Municipal Council was previously known as Seremban District Council (established on 1 January 1979), as a result of reorganisation of six (6) Local Authorities in Negeri Sembilan sec. 3 (a) and 3 (b), Local Government Act 1976, Act 171.Nilai Municipal Council was upgraded from Seremban District Council and the upgrading announcement ceremony was officially held on 2 February 2002. Nilai Municipal Council was entrusted to administrate eight Mukims (an area consisting of several villages) in Seremban District

Nilai has its own unique origin and history. Historically, Nilai was under luak Sungai Ujong that was administered by waris di Darat or waris di Air. Under Dato’ Johan from waris di Darat there are three Dato’ Lingkungan that control lead the 3 corak suku Batu Hampar that are concentrated in a few villages. Other lines including those from Bentan that are not based on suku, but are based on the village where they live. As a Lembaga waris Perut Hulu, Waris Telaga Undang Dato’ Johan is not a titian balai because Dato’ Andika is more senior. However the power endowed by Dato’ Kelana Putera to collect tax until the year 1894 shows that the Dato’ Johan position with respect to balai Undang is important.

The third Dato’ Johan which is Dato’ Maamor is the Dato’ Kelana Putra, the 8th Undang Luak Sungai Ujong. Even while being appointed as Pesaka Dato' Kelana Putera, Dato’ Maamor is still a child. At that time, Pesaka Dato' Kelana Putera position is left vacant since 1887 when Dato' Mohd Yufof, the Undang Luak Sungai Ujong is relieved from duty. Because waris Perut Hulu does not have a son to hold the pesaka, so the anak-anak buah unanimously appointed Dato’ Maamor who was still a child to hold the pesaka Dato' Johan and then titled Dato’ Kelana.

The jurisdiction of Dato’ Johan also covers Lenggeng mukim which includes Mendum Village, Lenggeng Village, Sungai Jai Village, Hulu Beranang Village and Dacing Village. All these villages have their own ketua adat called ‘Tua Waris’. There are also suku of Minangkabau people that are concentrated on other luak in Negeri Sembilan before settling in Lenggeng Village. To ensure their welfare in luak Sungai Ujong, all suku is given ‘Tua Waris’ to be their representative in matters relating to tradition and administration in Balai Undang Luak.
